2023 NFL season, Week 4: Notable injuries, news from Sunday's games

Here are the injuries and news we're monitoring around the league on this Week 4 Sunday:

  • Arizona Cardinals safety Kris Boyd (hip) did not return versus the 49ers.
  • Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Morgan Moses (shoulder) and cornerback Daryl Worley (shoulder) were ruled out against the Browns.
  • Buffalo Bills cornerback Christian Benford (shoulder) went to the locker room for an X-ray and did not return against the Dolphins. Wide receiver Khalil Shakir was evaluated for a head injury and did not return. Cornerback Tre'Davious White was ruled out and is being evaluated for an Achilles injury after he was carted off the field.
  • Carolina Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson (shoulder) did not return against the Vikings.
  • Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (rib) was ruled out against the Titans. Higgins suffered a rib fracture that could keep him out for a bit, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was evaluated for a concussion and did not return.
  • Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was wearing a walking boot after the game versus the Ravens. He said it's a foot injury, but that he'll be ready to play after the Browns' upcoming bye week.
  • Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams (hip) was ruled out against the Bears.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington suffered a knee injury against the Falcons and did not return.
  • Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Cole Christiansen (hamstring) was ruled out versus the Jets.
  • Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Jerry Tillery was ejected after being penalized for a late hit on Chargers QB Justin Herbert. Cornerback David Long Jr. (ankle) was ruled out. Wide receiver Davante Adams (shoulder) left the game temporarily, but returned in the second quarter.
  • Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert remained in the game wearing a splint on his left middle finger following a hand injury. Tight end Donald Parham Jr. (wrist) was ruled out against the Raiders.
  • Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford says he suffered a hip injury against the Colts but has "no doubt" he will play next week.
  • Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead (knee) was ruled out against the Bills.
  • New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) was ruled out versus the Cowboys. Linebacker Matthew Judon is being evaluated for a biceps tendon injury after departing the game in the fourth quarter, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source. Judon will have an MRI to determine the severity and is expected to miss some time, Rapoport added.
  • New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson (calf) was ruled out against the Buccaneers.
  • New York Jets cornerback Brandin Echols was ruled out Sunday night with a hamstring injury.
  • Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Cam Jurgens (foot) was ruled out against the Commanders.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett sustained a knee injury in the third quarter and was quickly ruled out against the Texans. Tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring), offensive tackle Dan Moore (knee) and defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal (concussion) were also ruled out against the Texans. ... The Steelers' team plane was cleared to safely fly home from Houston after it was delayed due to mechanical issues, the team announced. This is the second consecutive week in which the team plane experienced mechanical issues.
  • San Francisco 49ers center Jon Feliciano (concussion) was ruled out versus the Cardinals.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) was ruled out against the Saints. Safety Ryan Neal was evaluated for a concussion and ruled out.
  • Washington Commanders defensive back Quan Martin (thumb) did not return against the Eagles.
